“Think of how you can say yes,” is one of the mantras that my husband and I are working on as we raise our two children. We want to emulate the amazing parents around us who have raised thoughtful, kind, children. We set strict boundaries, but also want to help our kids make good choices even when they’re both really young.

In early 2023, Neptune Coaching provided targeted coaching and consulting support to a leader in the office of a newly elected statewide official. Having transitioned from a previous managerial role without sufficient support or feedback on management best practices, the leader faced both excitement and anxiety in their new role.

I have a vivid memory of being with my mom at the grocery store when I was little, waiting forever for a cashier to get permission from their manager to let us use a coupon. While we were waiting my mom said, ‘the cashier doesn’t have any authority. It’s been taken away from them.’
